Your UCard is your new member ID card. It includes all the plan information needed to check in at your provider or pharmacy. When you are asked to show your health insurance card, simply show your UCard.
UnitedHealthcare takes your privacy and data security very seriously. The UCard does not contain any of your personal health information or personal financial information. If you have more questions about your private information, please call the toll-free number for members on your UCard.
No. UCard is not a credit or debit card. UCard has a scannable barcode that can be used to make purchases in stores. Like a gift card’s access code, the UCard does have a 4-digit Security Code on the back to help secure your purchases. However, you will not use the Security Code as a PIN like you would for a debit card. You will not need to create a PIN for your UCard and you will not need to enter a PIN to use it.

If your UCard is lost, stolen, or simply not scanning in stores, you can order a replacement card on your member site. Please note, once a replacement card is ordered you will not be able to use your current card for purchases. However, you can continue to use your current UCard to visit a provider or fill a prescription. Your replacement card should arrive within 14 days. Be sure to activate once it arrives.

Tip: A digital copy of your replacement UCard will be available in the UCard Hub or on the UnitedHealthcare app within 24 hours of your request. You can use your digital UCard to spend your balance while you wait for your replacement card to arrive in the mail.
